Kathy Boockvar recently spoke with Diane Macedo from ABC News Live about anticipated issues that might happen before, during, and after Election Day. With early voting approaching, Boockvar talked about her concerns about disinformation, threats against election officials, and the need for vigilance and resiliency at all stages before, during, and after the election.
Macedo asked what would happen if a candidate doesn’t accept the results of the election, and Boockvar spoke about the strength of the justice system both in 2020 and currently, as well as changes made under the Electoral Count Reform Act.
“There are a lot of processes that have been built in that are stronger now than they were even back in 2020…. We’ve got some really strong guardrails in place that are going to make sure that every vote can be cast and counted accurately and securely,” said Boockvar.
