Brennan Center: States Take the Lead in Regulating AI in Elections — Within Limits

There have been an enormous number of bills introduced in 2024 in states across the country relating to the regulation of AI deepfakes in political communications, many of which are very helpful. This article from the Brennan Center notes, however, that there are other important bills relating to AI that states could and should introduce to protect American voters and consumers from AI-generated harms, and these have not been addressed in most states.
