In a recent op-ed in The Hill, Athena Strategies President Kathy Boockvar conveys the increasing threats and intimidation being inflicted on election officials, and the devastating impact on our democracy. She shares her experiences as Pennsylvania Secretary of State and their hope at the time that as facts and the rule of law were upheld, the attacks on democracy would end. Unfortunately, none of this has stopped the political violence.
Boockvar argues the critical need to strengthen protections and support for election workers, as well as hold accountable those that try to tear down our nation.
