Brennan Center’s Securing the 2024 Election
Brennan Center’s report assesses the broad work that must be done in order to prepare for and secure the 2024 election cycle. These efforts include collaboration among policymakers at all levels to address threats and strengthen the resiliency of the U.S. election system. It also requires: increased resources from federal agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), CISA, Department of Justice (DOJ), and the Election Assistance Commission (EAC); new laws to protect election workers and prevent insider attacks; increased support against and preparation for cyberattacks, and the expansion of efforts to preempt false information, including falsehoods generated by AI.
